Following the latest Government announcement, our re-open plans for food and drinks from 4th July and our re-opening is on the condition that we can demonstrate that we are COVID-19 Safe.

In anticipation of the announcement we had been planning to ensure we have measures in place for the safe re-opening and our Clubhouse & environs should offer a relatively safe and responsible environment for our members to enjoy food and drinks.

In order to make it more viable for us to re-open, the Government has given us scope to relax the current 2M Social Distancing rules in certain instances to allow ‘1M Plus’, which means remaining 1M apart whilst taking other mitigation to reduce the risk of transmission.

Some of our measures include:

· Keeping a temporary record of customers for 21 days to assist with NHS Track & Trace requests.

· Providing clear guidance on arrival of Social Distancing & Hygiene measures.

· Utilising contactless payments and members account payments wherever possible.

· We have calculated the maximum number of customers in each location to take into account the 2M Social Distancing rule and in certain areas the new ‘1M Plus’ rule.

· Table service will be provided where possible.

· Clubhouse signage will reflect any access routes within the Clubhouse and distance taping to mark 2M and 1M Plus in certain areas.

In the first instance we have been considering the food provision and have met with both Simon & Roy as part of our considerations to re-open the kitchen. We have decided to continue to take advantage of the furlough scheme and concentrate on a safer, staged opening of the bar service while we fully review the longer-term plans for kitchen and food provision. In the interim we have developed a relationship with Soho Gourmet Catering who will be able to provide a 7-day catering operation with a limited but quality menu served from the terrace.

Our initial plans are to open with set hours for the first 2-weeks with bar opening times from 11 a.m. ‘til 9 p.m. daily and Soho catering will serve food from 9:30 a.m. ‘til 5:30 p.m. These hours will be under continual review and may be reduced if there is insufficient demand.

We are actively encouraging for members to PRE-BOOK a table on the terrace or Clubhouse by using our restaurant software and we urge you to book if possible, even if planning to have a drink after your golf or just fancy a few social drinks. This will enable us to plan our resources and provide the best and safest possible service, whilst at the same time keeping our costs tightly managed. This will not preclude you from using the facilities on an impulse basis but pre-booking will certainly help our planning and may avoid disappointment if we reach our capacities.
