Congratulations to Sarah Rees as this week's winner of the stableford competition with 36 points. In very testing conditions and an increasing gale this was a good score. Can I please remind everyone to enter their competition results before 4pm on the day of play! Congratulations also to Umar and Sue Collins who were the winners of the Foursome Salver, beating Tracey and Carol. In the 36 hole silver scratch final I managed to beat Lucy on the 31st hole after a great match.
Sadly, I must inform you that two Pat`s are currently in hospital .Pat Turner is recovering in the Real Free after suffering heart problems and Pat Briggs, a past captain is also unwell. We send them all our love and best wishes in the coming recovery period.
As we all know the WHS system will be with us next week. To calculate YOUR NEW HANDICAP;
1. Register on the My England Golf website . You will need your CDH number, which you can find IG under 'My Golf"and "handicap record"
2. This gives you your handicap index
3. Look up the 'course handicap' in the table
4. The woman`s table (red tees) is on the noticeboard in the locker room
5. You should now have a playing handicap for BHP
Under WHS the allowances for competitions have been altered. For individual medals and stablefords there is a mandatory 95% allowance. Therefore for the individual stableford on Wednesday 4th November the allowance will be 95%, which is calculated from your Course Handicap. This will be calculated automatically when you enter your score in IG.
Thank you to everyone who has bought some charity Christmas cards from me. I still have a few packets left if anyone would like them. Please don't forget the 2`s, there are still a few of you that could enter. Please speak to Lisa. Also, please remember to sign into the competitions for the next couple of weeks in plenty of time for Lisa to be able to do the draw .
Good luck to our Pearson team for their match on Friday. I hope the rain stops for you .
