Women's Captain's Announcements
Yippee, Brilliant, Fantastic, Wow I`m sure you all think I'm talking about the return to play, which of course is reason enough to be happy. But I`m actually referring to the staggering amount of money BHP managed to raise for Noah's Ark Hospice over their Moments that matter campaign. I`m delighted to say that thanks to your generosity we raised over £3000 and the charity beat its target and raised £1.8m which will help it to continue with its fantastic work. I can't thank you all enough and I know the team at NA are so grateful. ?
It is of course fantastic news that we will be able to resume playing golf again next week, weather permitting, and I look forward to seeing everyone out there enjoying our lovely course. A few reminders of things coming up in the next few weeks.
On the 2nd we will actually be playing a Cha cha cha and not a waltz, so for those that prefer ballroom, you'll have to dig deep for your latin diva. Sequins will be optional. I'd never come across the cha cha in golf before (only a waltz) but it's as it sounds, 1, 2,123 on scoring (then repeat) and hopefully the magic IG will sort all the handicap stuff out for us.
The 9th is greensomes, so please arrange your own partners and playing companions. If there is anyone without a partner or pair, please let Lisa know and we will endeavour to get you on the course.
On Sunday 13th we are running a women's swindle and we would love to see those that can't play on a Wednesday, there, as well as our affiliates. It'll be a great way to meet new faces and play some fun golf. Sign up and format will be nearer the time, but the tee should be available for us from 1pm to 2pm. Pencil it in your diaries!!
Lastly, a big thank you to all of the women`s committee who helped "deck the halls" and add a bit of Christmas cheer to the clubhouse. Your time is much appreciated. Sadly, we won't be having a Christmas Party for our section this year, but we are already thinking ahead to a Spring celebration when hopefully Covid will be a distant memory
Happy golfing, Lesley
