Women's Captain Announcement's
Sadly, this week we have had to say goodbye to Maureen, who had bravely fought cancer for 26 years. I know so many of us will already have expressed our condolences and sadness of her passing to Sue, David and Liz, but on behalf of the women's section I'd like to say how much she will be missed by us all. Maureen never seemed to be overwhelmed by the constant demands of different treatments, which she quietly and determinedly fought each time, never complaining. I`m sure Maureen will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew her.
On a happier note there is now a light in the tunnel for our return to golf later in March. We will be looking at our current diary to see if we need to make any changes and will notify you when we do.
Don't forget to sign up for the knockout competitions on IG.
Can you help?
Whilst attending to the flower beds in front of the Pro shop and in the entrance road, we realised that we need someone to take over the care of the bed by the 15th tee. Andrew Stredder had taken this over and stocked it, but now that he and Penny are in Sussex we need a volunteer to step in. Anyone, can do this (male or female) so if you have a bit of spare time please let either myself or Tracey know.
