Women's Captain Announcement's
Not quite shorts and tee shirt weather this week, but at least it's dry. Congratulations to Umar last week, who won the "back to golf" competition with 37 points, closely followed by Sharon on 35. Please remember that if you "blob" a hole to enter it as NR on your card, not NS. It is also important that we each remember to check our handicap index after results have been finalised, as it may change.
For those that braved Arctic conditions on Friday for the WC v VWC I can say that Sarah's team were the winners. Several games ended in ties, but 2 matches were won for Sarah. Congratulations.
For the Middlesex 5 club competition there is a handicap index limit of 36. If you have a higher handicap index than this you may still enter the competition, but you will be unable to qualify for the final.
I`m pleased to say that Cela`s hand is improving and we hope to see her back on the course very shortly. I'd also like to send our best wishes to Janet for her up coming operation and continued love to Shirley as she slowly improves in hospital.
We very shortly hope to be able to give everyone a date for our first swindle, where we look forward to welcoming new members and meeting more of the women on the WDF program. We are also looking at finding the easiest way to give WDF women tee times on Ig on a Wednesday after our competition. Please be patient, we are trying to work out the best way forward. It's also lovely to see Nicola`s groups back out on the putting green developing their skills. Keep it up.
