Lady Captain's Announcements

If you haven't already signed up for one of the Christmas parties please do so asap! There are still places for both the formal party on the Dec 9th and the informal on the 16th.

We have the sign up for the Ladies Christmas party on Thursday Dec 14th in the changing room for ALL lady members of BHP to sign up, so please do this asap to give us a good indication of numbers.

The Turkey trot is to be held on Sunday Dec 17th. This will be a soft draw and those who wish to enter will need to put their names down via the PSI. Cost to be £5 and the draw will be done a day or two beforehand and sent out to those concerned.

Remember that the Christmas decorations to be put up on MONDAY Nov 27th from 10am and as many helpers as possible will be greatly appreciated.

Christmas Fayre on Nov 30th from 10am. Please can we have your help, any of the following can be left on the side in front of the mirrors in the locker room or given to the relevant people on the day:

Chris needs bottles.

Hazel needs home produce, so please get baking and bring them in whenever is appropriate for them to remain fresh for the day.

I need nice items for raffle prizes please.

Janet Beacham will need a few helpers on the day for the teas & coffees, please let her know if you are able to give her some of your time.

Also on the 30th we have a sommelier coming in to give a wine tasting session, with nibbles. If you are planning to come please sign up via the website; home, upcoming events and then press the booking button and follow the instructions. Only those pre-booked can come because of the sommelier organising how much to bring.

The End of Season Alliance, semi-shotgun start followed by lunch Nov 29th, the draw was made and a notice has been sent out with all the details.

Our thoughts go to Mia who has just had her op on her back and hope that she gets well soon. If anyone would like to visit she is in Canterbury Ward at Chase Farm visiting hours 2-5pm.

It is with regret that I have to announce the death of Vera Gellatly who was Lady Captain in 1985 and sadly passed away earlier this week at the age of 93. The funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.
