Lady Captain's Announcements
Hello Ladies not much again today except that the Christmas Fayre is almost upon us.
Chris asks that you bring in some bottles preferable filled with alcohol for the bottle stall.
Hazel asks that you get baking and pickling for the home produce stall.
Lucy is collecting items for baskets; I assume this is hand creams and bits.
I would like to have items for the raffle; nice bits that you would like to receive yourself please.
Remember to sign up in the locker room at least three weeks in advance for the winter competitions. There is only one comp set up on the BRS(online booking system) and PSI(screens for signing in) since there is no way to return either on the PSI, so you just book in with your groups once they have been sorted, sign in on the PSI, title your card as a whatever the 'fun' comp is or 13 hole alternative comp, whichever you are playing in, and then Tracey will sort out the result for each and post them on the board for the following week. When we are plying the main comp in fours if you wish to play the 13 hole comp and are only playing in a two or three then you are welcome to go in front of the fours or if you prefer you could go a little later and have a gap so that you don't get held up by the fourballs. On weeks when we are playing in two's you can go where you like as a two or later if a three when playing in the 13 hole comp but whichever, please sign in as usual on the PSI before play. However we do hope that as many of you as possible will join in the main competitions.
Sorry but I do need another moan this week and ask that you remember to remove your name from the BRS if you do not intend to play. This then advises your playing partners and others that a space is available.
Lesley Avent is organising a bulb planting afternoon on Oct 31st, meeting for lunch at noon and then going out to plant at about 1pm, the more the merrier. Please come and help to cheer the course up a bit.
Our thoughts go out to Mia who is to have an operation on her back next month. We hope it all goes smoothly and wish her a speedy recovery.
Marie has also been in the wars again, she has had a nasty fall and broken her nose. We wish her well and a quick recovery. She sends her thanks to the ladies for their kind thoughts and hopes to be up for lunch next week.
