Lady Captain's Announcements
Well done by the weather again! Unfortunately we had to cancel this afternoon's section of the competition, however I think a good time was had by all and the evening was an enjoyable affair in a lovely atmosphere with very good food thanks to Alasdair and his team.
Well done to Val for winning the scratch, Helen the silver division, Lisa the bronze division and Alison the copper division. A little reminder that as well as putting our scores into the PSI system, we must also sign our cards! I won't name names but three people were DQ'd for this and two missed out on prizes due to not doing so!
Thank you to the ladies who made the cakes for the hut and this is especially so since I asked them for the first spring meeting but forgot to ask them for today and they all turned up with them anyway!
Unfortunately Davina was unable to attend the spring meeting due to having had a break in and was feeling a little stressed. I would like to thank her for the lovely flower display in the locker room and let her and Frank know that our thoughts are with them.
This week's matches:
- The 5-a-side won their match against Ealing 4-1 taking them into the lead for their league – well done.
- The Pearson match was rescheduled due to rain - this is becoming a bit repetitive!
Remember that tomorrow, Thursday, there will be a mixed (as in men and women can enter but it is an individual competition and you can play in groups of ladies if you wish) stableford competition running all day each week throughout the summer. There will also be an eclectic competition running alongside this which will run until Sept 13th. However there will be two Thursdays that this will be replaced with the 3 club challenge on May 24th and the cross country competition on a date yet to be decided.
Remember that our charity quiz is tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, 1 for 1.30.
The roll ups start again this Friday at 2pm and the forecast is good; sign up on the BRS to notify others that you are coming and the balls will be thrown up to decide partners on the day.
The 4 ball draw will now include ladies and the first one is this Sunday, May 6th. Please come along and join in if you can.
Don't forget it's Charity Day on Monday, May 7th; the forecast is good so hopefully we'll be able to have some good golf. It's now to be a shotgun start at 9.30 and the start-sheet will be out by the end of the week.
I would be very happy if more of you would sign up for the Lady Captain/Pro challenge. The sheet is now in the pro shop.
The summer knockouts have now been drawn and the draw can be seen on the PSI screens or via the hub.
Do remember that Pauline is collecting 1&2 litre milk bottle tops in aid of the London Air Ambulance. If you can please collect these, give them a quick rinse and bring them to the club we will provide a collection container in the locker room.
