Lady Captain's Announcements
Well it was VERY wet out there today but still there were 27 brave souls out there today enjoying the dry weather even if the golf was a bit heavy.
Remember that from this week we are back to the normal round of you booking with your own partners and booking is from the Monday of the previous week i.e. for March 1st you will now need to book from this coming Monday, Feb 19th, at 7.30pm.
Danny has arranged for a fashion show here on Friday Feb 23rd with exhibits from Cobra Puma Golf, Green Lamb, Daily Sports, Glenbrae and Under Armour. It promises to be a good afternoon do come along it is running 3-6pm.
Sign-up sheets for have gone up in the locker room for:
Pearson – interclub matchplay, teams of 7 plus one reserve from players with handicaps of 13 to 32 although players with higher handicaps can play they must play off 32. Please sign up for dates that you are available to play and teams will be chosen nearer the date.
Lady Captain V The Rest - 13 holes, draw for partners, followed by lunch on March 23rd.
The Spring Meeting – 18 hole medal in the morning in pairs and after lunch 9 holes in groups of four, made up from 2 pairs from the morning, followed by a meal and presentation.
Triangular matches – interclub friendlies against two other clubs and home games against the men.
Also there are still a few dates in my diary towards the end of my year if anyone would like to join me please sign-up on my list on the Lady Captain's board.
If you have not already done so please check your diaries for both the away day to Aldwickbury Park GC in Harpenden on 18th June and the overnighter to Dunston Hall in Norfolk on Sept 9th& 10th which have space for those of you that find you are now able to come. So if you do want to come please put your name up and speak to Cela.
Another thing that I'd be pleased if you would sign up for, if you can stand to play with me that is although you also get the pleasure of our pro, is the Pro/Lady Captain Challenge in the George low bar. If you can't make a weekend then you can propose a weekday date.
Billie began her bridge lessons with eight people but I'm sure that she'd welcome others that may be interested next session and remember that this is also open to the men, if you wish to bring any along.
Remember to sign up for upcoming events; we want these to continue to support the club and those that go out of their way to arrange them for us.

Curry and music night, with the protocols, Friday March 2nd.
And most importantly our annual club dinner dance on Saturday March 17th. We have a very nice menu for this several speakers, including our very vocal Captain and the music is the Motown band Bell and the Dots. This event is almost full so if you want to come and haven't booked do so asap.
