Lady Captain's Announcements

Not much to say this week really except to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Remember that there is no competition next week, you can book and play on a casual basis obviously. Our next competition is on January 3rd and the tee times have already been sent out.

  • The Texas Scramble was played in much warmer conditions then recent weeks and we were joined by several of the men. We played 13 holes finishing at the hut with mulled wine and mince pies kindly made by Gunn Robbins and Sarah Carver, thank you they were lovely. The winners were Ray Ripsher, Hazel Goodyear, Christine Robertson and Pauline Platt with an excellent 38 points. Unfortunately Dave Turner had a fall on the practice ground just before he was due to go out and dislocated his shoulder, needing to be taken to A&E to have it reset. He's now home in a sling and feeling much better. Our best wishes go out to him and hope this does not adversely affect his Christmas.

Marie has been admitted to North-mid with a suspected heart attack. I spoke to her today, she is at the Brampton awaiting angioplasties and will find out what needs doing today, Thursday. We wish her all the best and hope all goes well.
