Ladies' Captain's Announcements
Last Saturday saw the first round of the Luther Smith played at Enfield. I had the pleasure to play with Camy from Enfield, who had a great round and is leading at the moment, unfortunately the weather for this Saturday looks awful and I won't be playing unless there's a dramatic improvement.
This week we played for The Centenary Salver, we haven't presented the trophy yet, so I shall save that for next week.
Next week is Harvest Festival, a Stableford competition, and if you haven't already done so, please put any donations in the locker room and I will take them down to the food bank.
The Middlesex winter eclectic started from yesterday, October 1st and runs until the end of March. The entrance fee is £5 and will, I expect, be taken from your bar card. Details of how to enter will follow. The conditions of entry are on the Middlesex website and I will also post them in the Ladies WhatsApp.
Finally, an invitation from our incoming Lady Captain, Lesley Avent.
'I would like to invite all the ladies playing in my Drive-In and those ladies who would normally have been playing bridge to join me for a light lunch on the day, which is Wednesday the 14th of October. Please also have a guess for the length of my actual drive. Sarah Rees has the guess sheets.'
I have my fingers crossed for dry weather for Lesley's first day as Captain!
Sue
