Last Friday saw half a dozen or so ladies decorating the Christmas tree in the lobby and putting up decorations, many thanks to all those who helped and also to Neil and Lee who used a bunker rake and a litter grabber, to great effect, putting up the lights and decorations on the top of the tree! They were a great help.

Friday evening was the Ladies Christmas Party and we enjoyed a lovely meal and were well looked after by Debbie and her team. Davina as ever provided lovely table decorations. The undoubted highlight of the evening was the appearance of the Captain who duetted with me on 'I got you babe' by Sonny & Cher. After our year ends a new career on the cabaret circuit surely beckons for us. The Captain also offered a drink to any ladies who got up and sang, alas few took up the challenge and none of them claimed their drink, they probably thought we were a hard act to follow!

Thursday the 5th was our Christmas Fayre and a big thank you to all the Ladies, who once again came up trumps, making cakes, serving coffee, collecting entrance money, selling raffle tickets, donating the prizes, which were lovely, and all the many other jobs that made the Fayre a great success. Lucy Bidmead is the orchestrator of the Fayre so special thanks to her, she makes it look so easy!

This weekend is the Children's Christmas Party, with Sally Squiggles providing the entertainment and a special guest appearance by Father Christmas, not to be missed!
If you haven't yet booked for any of the Christmas Parties there are still tables available for the 14th December, dress code smart casual.

Until next week
