Well it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Today Boris announced that more than just two people can meet out in the open but still must observe social distancing. In view of this the Captains Committee will introduce the beginning of Saturday competitions, starting on the 20th June, with the Wally Gatward Trophy. It will still be played in pairs with some restrictions. Also we will arrange the 1st Rafferty Qualifying comp soon after that. Of course this all depends if we can get the entry sheets put online via the IG app! We will publish on the web the various upcoming competitions.

As from 1st June, members will be able to sign in guests at restricted times, with the green fee taken from the members competition card as the pro shop will not be open for the foreseeable future.

As we anticipate a further increase in tee time use we wish to re-introduce the use of marshals at peak times. We already have a number of volunteers but could do with a few more in case we get overwhelmed. If anyone is interested in marshalling please could they email or phone me so that I can set up a rota.

On a different subject I have had some reports of an excess of detritus on the course. As there are no rubbish bins available, please could you make a special effort to take your rubbish home with you so as not to spoil the look of the course.

Stay safe and enjoy your golf.

Kind regards,

Graham & Sue
