This week was the Autumn Meeting and Lisa Martin was the silver division winner with Angela Balnave winning the bronze division, well done Ladies! Val Weaver won the Scratch Prize and also the Lisney Trophy, which she told us she's been trying to win for 18 years, so I'm delighted that she has finally done it, thoroughly well deserved! After the presentation some of us enjoyed one of Roy's lovely lunches, thank you Roy.
Then on Thursday the Captain and I played in the Snow Camp Charity Day which is a programme which helps disadvantaged children gain new skills and find employment. We had the very lovely Jenny Jones an Olympic Bronze Medalist snowboarder no less, who was on the first tee seeing us all off and also Damon Hill, former racing driver, who played in the event although I didn't actually see him so can't confirm that he was actually there! It was a lovely day and hopefully raised lots of money for a very worthy cause.
Next week is the Centenary Salver another prestigious trophy to win. The week after is the Harvest Festival and below is a list of items which they are particularly in need of.
