Irrigation contractors are currently working on the 3rd green having completed all tees and greens in the far field including the 7th green and 4th tees.
Next stage will be the 2nd tees followed by the green and tees on the 1st.
Once this stage of the works has been completed all installed pipe work thus far will be flushed through with water removing any debris in the pipes.
In the short time a green is closed for contractors to work, a temporary green has been in operation. Unfortunately several greens do not have the area to accommodate a temporary green or large enough for the contractors to work at a safe distance.
Holes in question are the 1st, 5th, 13th and 16th. These holes will be closed for a short period whilst the work is being carried out on the green.
We will however try to pick days when the course is less busy and signs will be posted warning members of closures.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Drainage to the 5th hole has started well although the sticky ground conditions has meant us having to work on boards to reduce tyre ruts.
Most of the drainage immediately in front of the green has been installed, leaving the walk off areas to the 6th tees still to be worked on.
Worked stopped on Wednesday to allow us to catch up on general course maintenance including the clearing of leaves that have fallen this week due to the strong winds.
There are open trenches on the 5th hole that have been roped off, so please be aware off this if you have to retrieve your ball.
These areas will be white lined and should be classified as G.U.R, drop zones will be in operation.
