Course Update

 Irrigation -

The bad weather earlier in December halted work for 3 days due to the snow, but the contractors were back before Christmas to continue to install sprinkler heads to the 1st, 7th and 11th tees.

Progress on the installation is as follows.

1st Hole completed

2nd Hole completed.

3rd Green completed.

4th Hole completed

5th Not started.

6th Green completed.

7th Hole completed

8th Hole completed

9th Hole completed

10th Hole completed

11th Hole completed

12th Tee completed.

13th _18th: Not started.

The gales of Wednesday night uprooted a large Horse Chestnut tree on the 6th hole, which took most of the day to cut up and clear.

No other trees fell which was a surprise as the winds were very strong and the soil saturated

Greens

Greens will now be cut using the pedestrian mowers as the greens are softer, frequency of cuts will be weather dependent

The greens have wintered well and most remain disease free although a small outbreak is visible on the 15th and 18th greens, both will be sprayed once the threat of rain subsides

Works schedule for January
