It was officially week 10 of the Winter League this past weekend and even with the extremely wet conditions, there were some great scores out there.

On Saturday Sé Banim & Richard Kemish both scored 40 points, 1st place in Divisions 1 & 2 respectively. Fantastic scoring Gents. Very well done!

On Sunday, the course was even wetter ! Hard to believe it could be open for play, but it was & it was Jack Bidmead who came out on top with a very credible 35 points.

As we look at the Winter League scores it is very tight at the top.

Neil Hurst once again is playing some great golf, scoring well & is now level on points with Sean Daniels at the top of the leader board on 201 points. With James Chardhot on their heels with 200 points and 2018/19 Winter League Champion Tim Corrick right behind on 199 points.

With a large number of players still to complete 6 rounds, the leader board is going to become very interesting & interchangeable over the coming weeks.

As I write this, unfortunately the rain has once again closed the course. (Monday 14th).

The annual Lake around the 13th tee & new hut is well and truly back! Great for the Fish & Ducks, not so good for the golfer!

In last weeks blog, I mentioned putting on a pairs competition on Monday 28th December & within 3 days of my blog coming out the course is shut. If I wasn't paranoid before, I soon will be. With that said:

The "Cold " Turkey Trot will be on Monday 28th December. It is a pairs 4 ball better ball competition. Entry is open to all playing members. Please enter in pairs on the IG app or in the pro shop. There is a £2 per person entry fee. The competition is open for entry now.

All groups will go from the 1st Tee. The competition will run throughout the day.

Hopefully it will give us all a chance for some post Christmas exercise.

Praying for dry weather, Iain
