Sadly I have to report the passing of Cliff Fielder, a long standing member and former Captain of Bush Hill Park. Cliff was Captain in 1978 and President in 1986 and 2007. Details of his funeral have already been circulated.
We also lost Ted Hunnisett this week, another former member.

On a lighter note we had a successful four ball draw on Sunday, 24 members attended and played in pairs. The winners were Jack Bidmead and Robert Clegg with a creditable 44 points. This Sunday, the 8th December is the Turkey Trot, another four ball draw but this time free bacon rolls for the first ten attendees to sign in and mince pies in the hut which will be open for coffee. This event is a fine opportunity for our new members to join in and experience the hospitality of the club. First prize will be vouchers from Peachey the butchers and there will also be 6 nearest the pin prizes.

Another mention of the proposed drinking fountain on the 10th tee. Dave Hudson has agreed to erect the structure with Doona Collins sorting out the water supply and drainage. Thanks guys. We have also secured a grant from the members to pay for it. Next on the list is a replacement fountain on the lake at the 13th hole, more about this next week.

I hope we have a good turnout on Sunday, weather permitting. The draw will be held at 8.30 and 8.45 for a shotgun start at 9.00 am, please don't be late!
