Another great week at BHPGC with plenty of golf being played at all levels. Luckily the weather was kind to us, which always helps. Let's start with the Victory Cup - 36 holes of medal golf played in one day, which is a great feat. This was won by James Chard with a great total of 136 shots nett, which is four under par, closely followed by Graham Corr and Richard Empson.
If you weren't up to playing 36 holes, there was an Extra Medal divided into 2 divisions. Div. 1 was won by Len Palmer on 67 and Div. 2 by John Mather on level par. Fine achievements by all concerned. There was some excitement on the 13th green in the afternoon, when Denis Pyatt holed out for an ace. I didn't see it but he swears it's true. Name on the board time.
Last weekend's Fourball Draw was won by Ray Ripsher and Clive J Prior.
Danny our professional who has recovered from his marathon 125 holes last week. He had been pledged over £5000 for his efforts, please make your donations to The British Heart Foundation, or direct to Danny.
Our new hut on the 13th tee is coming along at pace but funds are still needed to finance the project. If you wish to make a donation please contact Guy Saunders who is in charge of the building.
