Another fine golfing week at Bush Hill Park with some great results being posted.
On Saturday it was the 1st round of the Club Handicap Championship which was won by a new member, Marlon Hills, who scored a nett 61 off 12 handicap, he has been cut but not deep enough, I think he will be playing off single figures quite soon!
On Thursday Billie Newland arranged a new members 'Meeting & Greet', some 40 people turned up and various members of the committee welcomed them to the club and answered their questions and advised them of various future events. The Marshalling has now been modified as the tee sheet runs quite well without them. It may be reintroduced when we revert back to 10 minute intervals in August, to allow us 8 extra tee times in a day.
Festival week will soon be upon us and there are still a few spots left in the AM-AM Charity Day on 20th August. Put a team in and enjoy the fun.
The clubhouse is now up and running with a limited menu & opening times. Roy was chef and delivered some fine fish & chips on Friday evening. I think this is going to be a regular event. It was well supported but numbers had to be reduced because of COVID regulations. Also this Sunday 26th, the Restaurant will be open for Sunday lunches, served in the downstairs bar. And don't forget Thai Asian Night next Wednesday 29th July!
