Once again the incessant rain put paid to the 22nd week of the winter league. Surely we must have some improvement of the weather soon as spring is with us. This Saturday sees the final opportunity to play the winter league which at present is being led by David Knott, just in front of John Guiney.
This Sunday, the 15th March, is the 125 year golf celebration of the actual day the club was formed. It is a four ball mixed team event and although it looks to be well supported there are still a couple of spots to be filled. If you wish to play but haven't got a team perhaps we could accommodate you if you put your name on the sheet in the George Low bar.
John Copley has asked me to remind you that the summer knockout events are open for registration. Entries close on 28th March, with the draw taking place on Monday 29th March.
On a social note the Annual Dinner Dance is on Saturday. I shall be there and hope to see a full house.
