We are in to the Final Stretch !
With less than a week to go, the 2021 golf season at Bush Hill Park Golf Club looks finally set to get under way.
The course is starting to dry out and Graham Careford & his team are working flat out, ready for our return this coming Monday.
But first, some congratulations.
As 6 rounds of the Winter League managed to be played, I can now bring you the final result.
Due to these unprecedented times, we have 2 Winners.
JOINT 1st place, with 201 points Sean Daniels & Neil Hurst.
3rd place, with 200 points James Chard.
Congratulations Sean & Neil, very well done.
For James and so many others, so near and yet so far, if only there was 1 more week !
Very well played to all of you.
On an extremely positive note, I have just returned from the the golf club after spending a couple of hours picking up litter. 30+ volunteers ventured out to all parts of the course to do their bit & help make it that much cleaner & tidier.
A massive thank you to all those who came along and helped out.
As a side note, the women's section have been and are continuing to volunteer to maintain the various flower beds around the course. Unfortunately there are a couple of flower beds that need maintenance but for these, there are no volunteers. If there are any "green fingered" members out there who would be interested in this kind of project, please email me or speak to the office.
General points for our return !
Preferred lies are still in place & will be until the end of April.
Pick and place within bunkers ( within 6") will remain in place until rakes are allowed back on the course. Please make good the bunker as best as possible with club or feet.
Do not touch the flag stick.
Repair pitch marks & divots.
Keep up with the pace of play.
Stay safe and enjoy your return to golf.
